Sol Eye Glass

Art glass has always been in my life. My parents collected cut glass and paper weights. I played around melting clear glass when I was a teenager but didn’t know anything else to do with it. I put my love of glass aside for my career until I took a glass bead making class shortly before retiring and that broke the dam. I have been unable to put glass down since then. My first bead class was in 2013 and I have taken several in-person and on-line classes from internationally recognized artists. The simple shapes and fine details of my beads have provided a strong base for expanding into other glass forms. Marbles provide a 3-D format for expression with buried fine details. Structural glass such as flowers, birds, and dragonflies are other forms I have explored and are still calling me.
